It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Sterling Keller Jr. (Cumberland, Maryland), who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Elmer Sterling may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer S. Keller and Elva R. Keller (Bennett); and his friend Barney Barnstricker. He is survived by: his wife Carol "Gidget" Keller (Snelson) of People's Drug Store; his son Richard Keller (Karen); his granddaughter Jenna Keller (Eric Denham); his sister Betty Dickinson Berry; and his nephews, Stephen Dickinson (Mary) and David Dickinson. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; and many beloved pets.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Scarpelli Funeral Home (108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
