She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Stewart Briggs and Lena Schmidt Briggs of Bethesda; and her siblings, Joanne Ward and Frederick Briggs. She is survived by: her brother Luther Stewart Briggs, Jr.; her husband Donald LeRoy Mitchell; her daughters, Susan Perdomo and Shari Haddaway (Todd); her grandchildren, Mark Perdomo, A. J. Perdomo, Rebecca Haddaway and Michael Haddaway; and her great grandchild Luna Perdomo.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:45 PM at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery (1080 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032).
