It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leonard Alfred Tabor (Crownsville, Maryland), born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Ethel Watkins Tabor; and his brother Stephen E. Blackburn. He is survived by : his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Ann Tabor; his daughter Tracy Tabor of Clayton, NC; his grandchildren, Victoria (Tabor), Edward Schneider of Crofton, MD. and Jeffrey Tabor of Nashville, TN.; and his great grandchild John Nelson of Crofton, MD..

After retiring, he obtained a grant from the National Science Foundation to work in the chemistry laboratory at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, Maryland.
