He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Eta Hartung Carlsen and Hans Alfred Carlsen. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Carlsen; his sister Naomi Sachetti; his daughters, Kimberly Russell and Terri Bettis; and his grandchildren, Jessie Bettis, Sarah Russell, Tessa Bettis, Cynthia Dellosa, Sonia Sorto, Gladys Meristyl, Gady and Christopher Pierre.
