It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Joseph Gillis (Crownsville, Maryland), who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Frances Furstein and Samuel Gillis; his sister Leah; his wife Joan Gillis; his daughters, Gail Smith and Donna Gillis; his nieces, Debbie Holten and Karen Parker; his nephew Michael Sher (Renee); and his great-nephews, Steven, Daniel and Justin. He was also cherished by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
