We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2022, at the age of 76, Brian Craig Thorne (Crownsville, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Laurie Brzeczkowski Thorne; his son Adam; his parents, Niles DeWitt Thorne and Mildred Eileen Thorne; his sisters, Carlyn Kreiger (Ron) of Roswell, Georgia, Sandy McCarthy (Tim) of Annapolis and Wanda Hendrickson of King George, Virginia.; his mother-in-law Carolyn Baumann of Mentor; and his former life partner Val Cranmer of West Creek. He was also cherished by four brothers-in-law, their spouses and a host of nieces and nephews, including great nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed playing poker with his buddies and swapping stories with the regulars at the dog park, accompanied by his pandemic puppy, Bella.

“Brian was one of that bunch that I've known and liked for over 70 years, from Landover Hills Elementary School to graduation from DuVal High School. I am deeply saddened by this unexpected (I just saw him at the Class of '64 lunch on the 15th and he looked and acted just fine) passing and that I was unaware of it until today, meaning i missed the viewing and the funeral but I don't care if we're hip deep in snow, I'll be at his interment to pay my respects.”
