She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McElwee and Florence McElwee; and her brother Joe. She is survived by: her husband Donald "Don"; her sister Bonita; her son Christopher "Chris"; and her friend Deborah. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National M.S Society.
