She was predeceased by: her parents, Elisha Sterling, Sr. and Grace Sterling; her husband Oliver "Curly" Sutton; her granddaughters, Deona Sutton and Jessica Ward; and her sisters, Rowena Bracetti, Peggy Bascomb and Barbara Sterling.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Sutton, Filbert Ward (Jeanne) and Cindy Sutton; her grandchildren, Rhonda Sutton, Antwine Teagle (Janelle), David Ward, Jennifer Rodgers, Dawn Ward and Danielle Ward; and her siblings, Carroll Sterling, Elisha Sterling and Lucille Maddox. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
