He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart F. Emely, Sr. and Clara Tyler Emely; his brother Carl Lee Emely; and his sisters-in-law, Deborah Emely and Wanda Emely.
He is survived by: his wife Joanna Walston Emely; his children, Bruce Emely (Elizabeth) and Lisa Walter (Alex); his brothers, Paul Emely (Toni Mrohs) and David Emely; his grandchildren, Brucie Emely and Alex Walter, Jr.; and his close friend Charles "Chalky" Goldsborough. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many other close friends.
