He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Kaplan and Irene Kaplan (Kovach); and his sister Patricia Pelletier. He is survived by: his children, Catherine Kaplan of Lusby, MD, Robert L. and William J. Kaplan (Jenn) of Crisfield, MD; his grandsons, Andrew Washabaugh, Douglas Josh Thomas (Ashley), Stephen Washabaugh (Diana) and Aiden Cole Kaplan; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Jemma, Trevor and Maddox Washabaugh; his siblings, Ronald Kaplan (Wilma), Bette Dodge (Richard) of Clearwater, FL and Brenda Galvin (Craig) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his close friends, Denny Bozman and John Townsend.
