She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Harvey Daniel Dukes and Mabel Sheppard Dukes; her husband T. Travis Tyler; her son Thomas Daniel Tyler; and her sister Esther Dukes.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Tyler Hudson (James) of Millsboro, DE, Kathy Tyler Purnell (Ron) of Crisfield and Thurman T. Tyler, Jr. (Suzanne) of Marion; her grandchildren, Fred Hudson (Antonia), Dinah Brown (Joseph), R. J. Purnell (Debbie), Melissa Purnell, Trey Tyler and Michael Tyler (Ashley Taylor); her great grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Maggie Hudson, Joseph, Lincoln Brown, Alex, Annie Reeves, Ian Hoover, Kaylin Tyler and Reagan Tyler; and her sister Naomi Smart of Perrysville, Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Crisfield Wesleyan Church (134 Maryland Ave, Crisfield, MD 21817). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
