She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie McClendon and Paulette Rayfield-McClendon; and her nephews, Hassan McClendon and Jarrell McClendon. She is survived by: her children, Marshonia McClendon (Ryan Byrd, Sr.), Uniqua Johnson and Dae'Jonn McClendon; her grandchildren, DaJah Byrd, Ryan Bryd, Jr., Ayden Byrd, Grayson Wharton, Dior McClendon and Ry'Keem Miles; her great grandchild Makari Smith; her siblings, Willie McClendon (Gwendolyn), Timothy McClendon and Marshalann McCready (Robert); her aunt Augusta Rayfield; her uncle John "Uncle Head" McClendon; and her brothers-in-law, George Taylor, Jr. and Norvanda Sterling. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
