He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin H. Tawes, Sr. and Helen Richardson Tawes; his wife Eleanor Ann Marshall Tawes; his daughter Kara Evans; and his brother Porter Tawes.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Tawes (Terri) of Crisfield and Kay Insley (Eddie) of South Mills, NC; his son-in-law Ronnie Evans (Maria) of Crisfield; his grandchildren, Ross Evans (Joanne) of Crisfield, Ryan Dodson (Nicole) of Crisfield, Dustin Tawes of Pocomoke, Brooks Dodson (Renee) of Crisfield, Alexander Tawes of Marion and Rachael Evans of Princess Anne; his great grandchildren, Jason, Lane, Everley and Ellie Kay; and his close friend Judy Bradshaw of Onley. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
