He was predeceased by: his mother Peggy Sterling-Bascomb; his spouse Iristine; his son Wilbert Sanders; and his siblings, Brenda Wilson, Linda Lee-Beal (Twin), Rupert Lee, Deborah Sterling, Paul Sterling and Shawn Evans.

He is survived by: his children, Troy, Katrina Lee and Lamont Potter; and his siblings, Anna Anderson (Troy), Paulette Sterling, Gladys Williams, Lynn Thompson (Michael), Lydia Thomas (Johnnie), Debbie Bell (Clarence), John Lee (Barbara), Kevin Evans and Ryan Evans. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts; one granddaughter.
