He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Byrd, Jr. and Pearl Politte Byrd; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Ray Bowden, Larry Roberts and Denny Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Bowden Byrd of Crisfield; his son Aaron Robert Byrd of Crisfield; his grandchildren, Jaxon Robert Byrd and Amelia Pearl Byrd; his siblings, Richard Byrd and Judy Evans; his uncle Vernon Tawes (Irmgard); and his in-laws, Mildred, Steve Mrohs, Donna Roberts, Ginger, Mike Dryden, Gaile Bowden, Mary Kay, Ozzie Hill and Cissy Bowden. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
