He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pruitt and Minnie Dise Pruitt; his son Stewart Edward Pruitt; his siblings, Docia, Cecile, Mary Frances, Orville, Eugene and Jack; and his great grandchild Camryn Reese Coffin.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene McMann Pruitt of Crisfield; his daughters, Jackie Brownlie (Bob) of Accomac, VA and Sandra Pruitt of Northern, VA; his stepchildren, Russell Nelson (Lisa) of Glen Allen, VA and Michele Fahrm (Ed) of Bria, Ohio; his brother Fred Pruitt (Eugena) of Tangier; his grandchildren, Melissa Coffin, Rachel Forrest, Christina Freeze, Zachary Pruitt, Adam Fahrm, Benjamin Fahrm, Nathan Fahrm, Jason Nelson and Trever Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Rourke, Walker, Wynter, Mallory and Abigail. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
