He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Sterling and Ruth Mason Sterling; his brothers, Paul Sterling and Willis Sterling; and his nieces, Michelle Thomas and Melinda Mason.
He is survived by: his sisters, Royce Ann Schmitz of Crisfield and Esther Coddington of Delmar, MD; his close friend Dickie "Tighty" Mister of Crisfield; and also, Charles "Eugie" Pruitt, Winnie, Connie Gerald of Crisfield and Royce Pruitt of Crisfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Asbury Church Cemetery (3380 Lawsonia Rd, Crisfield, MD 21817).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad, LSCARS, P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, MD 21817.
