It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer James Black of Crisfield, Maryland, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Black and Sarah Wooten Black; his wife Sue Jean Martin Black; his children, Rex Allen Black and Patty Black; and his granddaughter Kassy Sizer.
He is survived by: his sons, James "Toby" Black (Virginia) of Crisfield and Ronald Black of Crisfield; his grandchildren, Tyra Black Price (Walter) of Salisbury, Sarah Black King (Michael) of Dover, Danny Sizer of Nanticoke and David Miller of Salisbury; and his great grandchildren, Caitlin Lower, Danielle Sizer, Jabre Deepree, Saylor Sizer and Tadasia Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
