It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Denise Ball-Waters of Crisfield, Maryland, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Ball, Sr. and Ruth Lee White-Ball; her siblings, Terry Ball-Jones and Harrison Ball, Jr.; and her grandchild Logan Johnson.

She is survived by: her sons, Kevin D. Turpin, DeSean Johnson (Rochelle), Larry Johnson (Erica) and Gary Johnson, Jr. (Laurie); her siblings, Rose Lee Collins, Michelle Handy and Joseph Handy; and her fiancé James Fontaine.

“The staff of the Breaker's Hotel in Ocean City is so sorry to hear of the passing of Miss Dee. Dee was a seasonal employee in the hotel laundry. Dee was a hard worker, moving around the hotel getting the linens down the chute. Dee would make that long trip from Crisfield to Ocean City and arrive with a story to tell, a smile on her face and that contagious hardy laugh. She will be missed by her family and friends. We will keep her family and friends in our prayers during this time of sorrow.”
