He was predeceased by: his parent Grace Rice (Knippenberg); his siblings, Bill Rice, Joe Rice, Pete Rice, Mary Zembower (Pat), Jane Garland and Ruth Ella Simpson (Marvin); and his brother-in-law Chester McGill.
He is survived by: his parent Boyd Rice; his wife LeAnn Rice (Sindy); his children, Stephen L. Rice, Jr., Havre Rice of Grace, MD, Robert M. "Rob" Rice (Angie Fulton), Kristie Horn, Havre Clark of Grace, MD and Kari Clark; his grandchildren, Matthew Rice, Katie Rice, Jack Horn, Alivia Horn, Kenley Clark and Khloe Clark; his sisters, Becky Twigg (Lewie) and Donna Harshberger (Waldo Harshberger); and his siblings-in-law, Mary of Cumberland, Lois of Cumberland, Ronald Sindy (June) of Jackson, GA and Richard Sindy (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
