Dessie Varner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dessie Varner (Cresaptown, Maryland), who passed away on November 17, 2018 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Lula Liller, Lillie Thompson, Jessie Magdaline, Sadie Pyles, Mamie Scott, William Evans, Otha Evans, Arlie Evans, Myrle Evans, Martin Evans, Jr., Lyles Evans, Julius Evans, William Frase (Evans) and Guy Alston Evans; her former husbands, Clarence L. Wagoner and Arden E. Varner; and her daughter Mary Alean DeVault.
She is survived by: her brother Leonard Evans of Fort Ashby, WV; her daughters, Anna Lee Hiner of Ellicott City, MD and Betty Louise Jenkins of Montgomery, AL; her stepdaughter Marcia Ryman; her grandchildren, Chris Hiner (Sharon), Steve Hiner (Samantha), Becky Landry (Philip), Bonnie Brown (Jim), Mark Jenkins, John DeVault, Jr. (Michelle) and Deborah Mathena (Paul); her stepgranddaughters, Deborah Keifer and Denise Sweitzer; and her son-in-law John DeVault, Sr.. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
