He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilyn Bridges and Russell Bridges; and his siblings, Samuel, Ronald, Roger and Coleen.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bridges (Simpson); his children, Pam Stevens and Rusty Bridges; his grandchildren, Hope Hampton (Garrett) and Jesse Stevens (Veronica); his brothers, Cecil (Doris), Donald (Anna), John (Maria) and James (Teddie); and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Swanger (Vernon) and Dawna Simpson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Durst Funeral Home (57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD 21532). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. George Episcopal Church (12811 St Georges Ln, Mt Savage, MD 21545).
