It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Marie McKenzie of Corriganville, Maryland, born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Roy Fresh and Rosa Fresh Butler (Keidel); her husband James Augustus McKenzie; her siblings, Elsie Brown and Ernest Fresh; her son-in-law Ed O'Brien; her grandson Luke Gray; and her grandson-in-law Bobby Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Greer (Curt), Linda O'Brien, James E. McKenzie (Laura), Janet Boyd (Larry) and Gary McKenzie (Zina); her grandchildren, Brian Greer (Monica), Bradley Greer (Wendy), Michael McKenzie (Kelley), Karie McKenzie O'Malley (Brian), Mitchell Boyd, Kyler Boyd Nuzzo, Ben McKenzie (Yvonne), Kayla McKenzie Wojcik (Piotr), Kim Gray Silva (Kevin), Nikki Gray O'Hara (Joe), Joan O'Brien Simmons and Ed O'Brien, Jr. (Carol); and her great grandchildren, Anderson, Ethan, Merrik, Ed III, Kelly, Emma, Addi, Mikayla, Oliver, Kenzie, Mercy and Augustus. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
