He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clayton Porter and Florence Mary Porter (Sibley); his wife Edith Sherman Porter; and his siblings, Howard "Hank" Porter and Virginia Lee Ostheimer.
He is survived by: his children, Tracey L. Porter and Robin Glaser (Bo); his stepchildren, Tracy Sheppard (Gina) and Tammy Heintz; his grandchildren, Alex Coon (Lydia), Nicole Heintz, Aleia Heintz and Seth Allen; the mother of his children Arylene Linker (Tracey); his brother-in-law Paul Ostheimer; and his niece Carrie Yocum (Wally). He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
