He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess William Nickerson and Clara Wilde Nickerson; his wife Shirley Marie Mattingly Nickerson; and his son Mark Aloysius Nickerson (Maria). He is survived by: his children, Valinda "Wendy" Schaller (Bob), Mary Shields (Tom), Barbara Frazier (Russ), Vicky Nickerson, Margaret Nickerson Rorex, Michael Nickerson (Betty), Tracey Schrader (Billy) and Peter Nickerson (Barbara); and his grandsons, Emmett Schaller, Chris "Bunky" Insley, Nicky Nickerson, Wayne Carter, Paul Norman and Ryan Nickerson. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
