Yoshie H. Hoppenjans Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2025, at the age of 96, Yoshie H. Hoppenjans of Columbia, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Gilbert Hoppenjans (Ret); and her in-laws, Lois Talbert (Paul) and Diane Hofmann (Edward). She is survived by: her children, Mary Christine Emmell of Milton, Delaware, Joseph Mark Hoppenjans (Tina Hoppenjans) of Laurel, Maryland, Mary Angela Britton (Deacon Cliff Britton) of Maryland and Mary Cecilia Hoppenjans (Jeffrey Morris) of Ellicott City, Maryland; and her grandchildren, Christina Mazzanti (Christopher Mazzanti), Adrian Britton (Annalinda Iacoviello), Amy Weaton (Christopher Weaton), Damian Emmell, Jonathan Emmell (Caitlin Emmell), Melanie Bianco (Daniel Bianco), Derek Emmell (Kelli Emmell), Holly-Catherine Lefcourt (Noah Lefcourt), Taylor Morris (Becca Quon), Thomas Britton (Kylie Stevenson), Allison Morris DeGennaro (Andrew DeGennaro), Lucas Hoppenjans and Kathleen Hoppenjans. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (1125 St Michaels Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
