Wade Radford Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2025, at the age of 89, Wade Radford of Columbia, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Evans Radford and Mary Kate Burgess Radford. He is survived by: his wife Frances Elizabeth Poole; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Janel; his grandchildren, Madison and Andrew; his siblings, Elaine Hardin (Wayne) and Stephen (Hattie); his nephew Dale Hardin; his niece Stephanie Edwards; and his cousin Rodney Schwartz.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Community Bible Church (13240 MD-108, Highland, MD 20777). Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Noteworthy achievements include contributions to the development of the implantable heart pacemaker, implantable insulin pump, and New Horizons mission to Pluto.
