She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lillian Phillippi and Harry Buck; her husband Melvin Hackman; her daughters, Beth Barbier (Louis) and Lynn Ketchaver (Ray); her grandchildren, Lauren Larsson (David), Melissa Clayton (Charles) and Rae Marie Willis (Brian); and her great grandchildren, Alice Larsson, Katherine and Claire Willis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in support of the ASPCA, one of Shirley's favorite charities.
