She was predeceased by: her brother David Horton; and her grandparents, Lillie Gray (Carter), Mark Cooper, Eula Bell Horton (Jenkins) and Ulysses Leslie.

She is survived by: her parents, Clarence Horton and Viola Horton (Carter); her friend Barry Manilow; and her sisters, Stephanie Brantley (Horton) of Snellville, GA and Sheilia Carter (Horton) of Columbus, OH. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
