He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Cohen and Marian Backer. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Jacalyn R. Ely; his children, Danielle Moreland (Ryan) and Dr. Ariel Cohen; and his siblings, Susan Mitchell (Jack) and David S. Cohen (Geri).
