With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Muriel Elizabeth Hamilton of Columbia, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lemuel Hamilton, Sr. and Velma Bell Hamilton; and her brother Harry Hamilton, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Alicia Lee (Jeloni Shabazz); her sister Patricia Gyi (Maung); her former husband Forrester Lee, Jr.; her stepdaughter NTanya Lee; and her grandchildren, Yasmeen Shabazz, Yusuf Shabazz, Khalil Lee-Turner, Amirah Shabazz, Jennah Shabazz and Lailah Shabazz.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home (4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at the Mount View Cemetery.
