He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rear Admiral Lewis C. Coxe and Nancy Lesh Coxe; his close friend Claire Albert of Columbia, MD; his sons, Michael P. M. Coxe, Jr. of Phoenix, MD and Stephen L. C. Coxe of Norfolk, VA; his granddaughter Alice Coxe; and his former wife Elizabeth W. Coxe.
