She was predeceased by: her husband Sheldon Wengel; her sister Delle Protas; and her parents, Nettie Shapiro and Samuel Shapiro. She is survived by: her children, Steve Sakamoto-Wengel (Joy), Robert Wengel (Gina Formichelli) and Marni Beyer (Jimmy); her sister Susan Levine; her grandchildren, James Sakamoto (Emery), Daniel Sakamoto-Wengel, Brittany Wengel, Stephanie Wengel, Noah Beyer, Nate Beyer, Eli Beyer, Jack Lincoln and Matt Lincoln; and her great grandchildren, Summer Sakamoto and Camden Sakamoto. She is also survived by her family and many close friends.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Carriage House (5410 Leaf Treader Way, Columbia, MD 21044). Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beyer's Home (2108 Arlonne Dr, Catonsville, MD 21228).
