It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurence E. Lassen of Columbia, Maryland, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Laurence leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anna Margaret Tobiessen Lassen and Eivind Urdahl Lassen; his sister Margaret; his wife Julie Mary Naughton; his children, Carolyn Lassen Ashburn (Michael) of Gladwyne, PA and Peter Laurence Lassen (Christie) of Columbia, MD; and his granddaughters, AnneMarie Ashburn Horowitz (Roger) of Philadelphia, Sarah Ashburn Gutman (Abraham) of Philadelphia and Anna Lassen of Columbia, MD.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Lutheran Church (8575 Guilford Rd, Columbia, MD 21046).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to New Hope Lutheran Church in Columbia, MD.
