He is survived by: his spouse Rae Catherine Sumihara; his sons, Kenzo Levi Sumihara and Taizo Henry Sumihara; his adoptive son Bawi Lian Uk; his parents, Haruo and Junko; his siblings, Yohei Sumihara, Chitose Sumihara and Nunome Matsumoto; and his grandson Vanbawi Uk. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
