He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kermit Allan Hunt Sr. and Mary Dorothy Slavin; his brothers, Joseph T. Hunt Jr. of Annapolis, MD., Stephen E. Hunt and Thomas C. Hunt of Greenbackville, VA.; his grandchildren, Emma Szympruch and David Szympruch; his former wife Sharon L. Pickens; and his daughters, Carrie S. Hunt and Christine L. Hunt Szympruch.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Catholic Relief Services, Gilchrist Hospice or National Federation of the Blind.
