With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Coon in Columbia, Maryland, born in Scaggsville, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lee Coon, Sr. and Gladys V. Coon (Robey); his child Jerry Coon II (Anna); and his brothers, Richard Coon, II, Johnny Coon, Doug Coon and Nolan Coon.
He is survived by: his wife Maizie Coon; his children, Timothy Coon (Sandra), Eric Coon (Elizabeth), Lisa Cobb (Joseph), Patrick Coon (Nancy) and Andrew Coon (Roni Sue); his sister Ida Warfield (Ronald); and his grandchildren, Jerry III, Timothy, Jr., Nicholas, Erica, Emillie, Nathan, April, Hannah, Brandi, Jessica, Andrew, Justin, Breanna and Hunter. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
