It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eileen C. Zimmermann (Columbia, Maryland), born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Conway and Margaret Conway; and her sisters, Marie Colee and Annarose Rogers. She is survived by: her children, Nina Essig (John) of Frederick, Lisa Zimmermann of Silver Spring, Suzanne Jones of Glenwood, Maryland, Robert Zimmermann, Jr. (Carol) of Rockville and Sean Zimmermann (Joanie) of Davidsonville, Maryland; her former husband Dr. Robert Zimmermann of Rockville, Maryland; and also, Patricia Jones of St. Leonard, Maryland, John Essig, Kristen Essig (Sam Littell), Brittany Jones, Christy Jones, Danielle Jones, Madison Jones, Tyler Zimmermann, Jessica Zimmermann, Kaitlyn Zimmermann, Riley, Ashlin and Natalie.

Due to the COVID19 outbreak and the restrictions set by local and state governments limiting gatherings, services at this time will be private and handled by Collins Funeral Home with a private graveside service following to be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland on April 28, 2020.
