He is survived by: his children, Michelle Porter (DeNon), Michael Arrington (Nicole), Christian Arrington (Melissa) and Julian Arrington; his grandchildren, Calvin Hamilton, Alexis Dockery, Chloe Porter, Candace Porter, Camille Porter, Zoe Lubrin, Caleb Arrington and Michael Landon Arrington; his sisters, Ivy Bernice Sloan-Williams and Barbara Franklin (Clarence); and his nieces and nephews, George Sloan (Lula), Monica Carter (Sam), Clarence Franklin (Darah), Briana Arrington, Bianca Garcia and Claudia Brown. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Over the course of his career, he worked for General Motors, The Ford Foundation, Minority Equity Capital Company, McGraw Hill, J.P. Morgan-Chase, AIG, Deutsche Bank, and he finished his professional journey with Northrop Grumman, retiring in 2017.
