He is survived by: his wife Kayoko Sawamura; his daughters, Cynthia Sawamura (Richard Alexander) and Lynn Sawamura; his grandchildren, Tiffany Gorham (Joshua) and Akira Alexander; his great grandchild Akeem Kobe Alexander; his siblings, Joyce Yoshiko Fukasawa and Jerry Kingo Sawamura; and his nieces, Mariko Kathryn Fukasawa, Noriko Lisa Ichimura and Tomi Judith Yamamoto. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.
