Leon Dye Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 82, Leon Dye (Colora, Maryland) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leon Dye to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Dye and Vada Dye; his wife Betty Dye; and his siblings, Nila Perkins, Lewis Dye and Russell Dye.
He is survived by: his stepfather Hobert Hale; his children, Roxanne Glessner-Cameron, James Dye Sr. (Dary), John Dye (Maggie) and Cindy Ortega (Art Hersh); his grandchildren, Austin Glessner (Kristen), Shane Glessner, James Dye Jr., Hannah Dye, Christopher Culver and Jaclyn Ortega; his stepgrandchildren, Valerie Spiese, Carrie Spangler and Robert Battista; and his great grandchildren, Kira, Hollis, Baby Brandon and Carsyn. He is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the R. T. Foard Funeral Home (111 S Queen St, Rising Sun, MD 21911). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at the West Nottingham Cemetery (1195 Firetower Rd, Colora, MD 21917).
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
