He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Vaughn and Virginia Furchis Gilley; and his sister Rita Moore. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Fritts Gilley; his son Eric VanDyke (Sylvia) of Colora, MD; his grandchildren, Christopher VanDyke (Leah) and Brittany VanDyke; his great grandchildren, Piper, Temperance, Elliott, Charlotte, Maverick, Harry, Lydia and Emmalynn; and his sisters, Carolyn McQuitty and Debbie Adams.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children at 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
