He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Rappeport; his siblings, Stanley Rappeport and Evelyn Berman; and his parents, Abraham Rappeport and Edna Rappeport.

He is survived by: his children, Sandy Rappeport (Bobbie Engelking), Susan Bleiberg (James) and Sally Rappeport (John Mata); his grandchildren, Emily, Lindsey Engelking-Rappeport, Joshua and Sarah Bleiberg; and his close friend Alma Smith.
