He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelina Harkleroad and Joseph Harkleroad; his wife Joan Harkleroad; and his daughter Dina Harris. He is survived by: his children, Donna Lackey, Jerri Fabina, Michael Harkleroad, Lawrence Harkleroad, Jeffrey Harkleroad, Christy McGarvey, Bobbie Saunders and Paula Claypoole.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (4902 Berwyn Rd, College Park, MD 20740). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
