He was predeceased by: his parents, Theresa Jefferson, and Joshua Jefferson, Sr.; his brothers, Stevie and Alonza "Lonnie"; and his sister-in-law Elaine.

He is survived by: his former wife Ann M. Minor; his daughters, Monique and Monica; his wife Gloria; his stepchildren, Kim Bransome and Tyson Bransome; his granddaughter Peyton Roper; his great grandchild Kyanna Blackman; his siblings, Nathaniel Jefferson and Frances Wyche; his siblings-in-law, Michael and Marie; his godsons, Anthony, Antwan Griffin and Justin Jefferson; his aunt Mozelle Tyler; and his friend Kapin Ferguson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends.
