He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella and Donald C. Swiger, Sr.; and his siblings, Henry (Bud), Charlotte and Ellen.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Sissy Swiger; his children, Melissa Poole (Chris), Kevin Swiger (Karen) and Keith Swiger (Tammy); his grandchildren, Josh (Amy), Brandon, Emily (Arthur), Andrew, Kyle and Kaden; and his great grandchildren, Grayson and Caroline.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Don's name to the Humane Society of Calvert County, 2210 Dalrymple Rd., Sunderland, MD 20589.
