She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Washington Taylor and Mattie Mae Taylor; her son Donnell Deloatch; her siblings, Barbara Taylor, Joyce Taylor (Perry), Belinda Douglas, Jackie, Vanessa, George and David; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah, Cherish and Samantha. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and friends.
Days after graduating high school, she began her long work career at the National Education Association (NEA), Washington, D.C. on June 16th, 1970, where she made significant contributions to the field of education.
