He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley Johnson and Pansy Johnson; his siblings, Thelma Howard, John Riley Johnson and Edison Johnson; and his grandson Jonathan Goff.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Johnson; his daughters, Erica Sivils (Bryan) and Joyce Barber (Bradley); and his grandson Tyler Sivils.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations in Charlie's name to The American Cancer Society.
