With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Rebecca Russell Owens of Clinton, Maryland, who passed away on October 1, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert and Mary DeBessie Russell (Harden); her husband William Frederick Owens; her grandchildren, Tabitha Burrows Abrams and William Patrick Ticer; and her siblings, James Lawrence Russell, Agnes Madeline Langley, Theresa Dowell, Patricia Elizabeth McCready and John Robert Russell, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann McCready (Harold Lee), Joan Preslar of Mechanicsville, MD, Mary Smith of King George, VA, Brenda Ticer and Pamela Owens; her grandchildren, Karen Cross, John McCready, Kim McCready, Lynn Espinoza, Thomas William Preslar, Rick Burrows, Jr., Jonathan Burrows and Charity Beck; and her close friends, Dave and Beverly Fry. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to either Catholic Charities or to a Cancer Research Center.
