He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Shives; and his brother Bruce Andrew Shives. He is survived by: his wife Lisa A. Shives; his children, Cory Shives (Megan) of Clear Spring and Lindsey Layo (Brandon) of Keedysville, MD.; his grandchildren, Sofia, Stella, Weston, Wren Shives, Scarlett, Olivia, Owen and Caroline Layo; his siblings-in-law, Herbert Hull (Karen), Stephen Hull, Sherry Shives and Cathy Davidson (John); and his close friend Larry. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
